When he started the train the brakes totally failed, causing the train to roll with great velocity straight back down the hill, crashing after passing two stations into a slow moving goods train.

I took off my left shoe and tied small branches and straw against my leg. I lit several candles together and let the candlewax drip over the branches and my leg until a kind of shell was formed. Then I cut loose all the ropes and left the small stake behind.
